Ali Fedotowsky is the new 'Bachelorette'; this time, she picks love, or the search for it, over work
Ali Fedotowsky, who left 'The Bachelor' because of work, is now devoting herself full time to 'The Bachelorette' - at least for a few months.
In one of the least shocking moments on "The Bachelor" this season, Ali Fedotowsky has been named the new Bachelorette.
The 25-year-old advertising account manager from San Francisco, who chose to keep her job at Facebook over staying in the running to win Jake Pavelka's heart, will begin her search for love on May 24th.
"I'm so excited," Fedotowsky told "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison on the "After the Final Rose" special. "I feel so blessed."
She also joked to Harrison that she'd like her pick of 50 guys instead of just 25.
As for the guy Fedotowsky is seeking?
He should be "funny," "smart," "kind of quirky" and, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly, being from the South will give him an edge.
Still, she told Harrison, "I'm not looking for a type of guy, I'm looking for a feeling."
"I want to find someone and I want to be in love and I want to get married and have kids and all of that and this is my chance so I'm not going to make the same mistake," Fedotowsky said of her initial decision to leave the show (and her subsequent plea to return).
As for her first love - her job - she will be taking a leave of absence.
Now I'm excited for a few reasons. One I am a self professed closet Bachelor (sneak a Peaker) and for a second reason... I have the dress Ali wore to the first show on the bachelor. You know that yellow Fantastic strapless number with knife pleating and jeweled empire waist... Whooo Hooo here is a pic of her in it..... I love it and think if I can say myself Look FABULOUS in it too. HAHA My new gown has already made its prime time debut and had a red carpet moment. TOO AMAZING.
