Jessica Simpson The Price of Beauty Back On VH! TV

Jessica Simpson Visits Ugandan Fattening Hut on The Price of Beauty

Jessica Simpson is back on TV in her new Show The Price of Beauty... Check it out!

Jessica Simpson is more than skin deep.

“There’s a lot of pressure to feel beautiful,” the singer says in a clip of her new reality show The Price of Beauty. “But what defines beauty? I’m gonna travel the world and see what makes a woman in different cultures feel beautiful.”
The Price of Beauty follows Simpson and her friends Ken Paves and CaCee Cobb as they circle the globe, visiting local beauty experts — and it’s a journey of contrasts that takes them from the couture houses of Paris, where Simpson attempts to walk a runway, to Uganda, where women may spend two months before their wedding in fattening huts, gaining weight in order in order to be a more beautiful bride.
While Jessica says the idea of a fattening hut is “the complete opposite of everything I’ve ever known,” she admits that “every person that I have met [on the journey] I can relate to.”
The Price of Beauty premieres March 15 (10 p.m. EST) on VH1.

Madonna, daughter Lourdes partner on junior fashion line

Madonna, daughter Lourdes partner on junior fashion line Madonna is hoping to go from fashion icon to fashion mogul with her latest endeavor. The pop star and her 13-year-old daughter, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, are partnering on a junior fashion line called Material Girl, which will be sold exclusively at Macy's for back-to-school season, and although the clothes won't land in stores until Aug. 3, sketches were released Tuesday. The line is named after Madonna's 1984 hit song, and there are some similarities to the pop star's 1980s iteration — the (very) short skirt, the corset top, the layered jewelry. But the muse is Lourdes, or Lola as she is known, Madonna's daughter with trainer Carlos Leon. Material Girl will include apparel, footwear, jewelry and handbags, and items will range from $12 to $40. The first collection mixes hard and soft elements, "like a tutu dress and studded-combat boots, or an oversized boyfriend sweatshirt with a floral ...

Betsey Johnson Runway Show NYFW Fall 2010

Betsey Johnson Runway Show NYFW Fall 2010  Just out and hot off the runway is Betsey Johnson's Runway Show Fall 2010 Ready To Wear Collection..... NEW YORK , February 14, 2010 By Alison Baenen   Betsey returned to the runway and—to prove her performance skills hadn't dulled—made sure all the high-camp high jinks of old were in place. Kelly Osbourne, looking model thin, came out first, walking on a hay-strewn surface. She exuberantly tore off the bandanna covering her face, and…Yee-haw! We found ourselves in the Wild Wild West. Johnson's inspiration this season was, modestly, 45 years' worth of her own archives. "I'm working on my stuff, being very true-blue Betsey," she said. Her signature gun prints were there in spades, accessorized with candy-bright plastic pistols; there were striped bodysuits and tutus. The models sashayed along in groups with monikers like Banditos, Madames, and Brothelettes, usually with one among their number clad in a sweater...
