Former contestants Melissa Rycroft (l.) and Brooke Burke are in the running to co-host 'Dancing with the Stars' after the exit of Samantha Harris. The producers of "Dancing with the Stars" are doing the hustle.
They're racing to find a co-host before the celeb dance contest kicks off its new season on March 22, according to Us Weekly.
Samantha Harris announced late last month that she wouldn't be back for the spring season of ABC's popular prime-time dance contest.
She called "DWTS" a "dream job" and said she "loved every single second of it."
But she wanted new challenges, including at her gig as a correspondent on "The Insider."
The short list to replace Harris, according to Us, includes Melissa Rycroft, who was a contestant on "DWTS" on season 8, Vanessa Minnillo, who's hosted various TV shows, and season 7 "DWTS" winner Brooke Burke.
A wild-card possibility is Kelly Osbourne, who turned heads and was very popular as a contestant on the show last fall, coming in third after winner Donny Osmond and runner-up Mya.
"DWTS" is famous for making dancers rotate gracefully.
There's a chance, notes Us, that the show will use a revolving cast of guest hosts.
The all-star cast of the new season is set to be announced on March 1.
Ex-"Baywatch" babe Pamela Anderson, Olympic gold medalists Evan Lysacek and Greg Louganis and reality TV mom Kate Gosselin are rumored to be in the running to appear on the show.
